HD STREAMING MEANS YOUR PASSENGERS CAN ENJOY YOUTUBE, YOUTUBE KIDS AND YOUR FAVORITE CONTENT VIA A WEB BROWSER.

Use your vehicle’s Rear Media App (Entertainment Hub) on the center display to

  • Accept Video Streaming Terms and Conditions
  • Control the rear screenso Play, pause, mute, lock, and turn content on and off
  • View and set the streaming options for each rear-seat screen
  • Use the vehicle speakers to listen to the content being watched on the rear-seat screens
  • Start and stop screen mirroring (when two screens share the same content)

Use the front or rear-seat screens to:

  • Log in to the compatible streaming partners§
  • Browse or search content library
  • Fast-forward and rewind content

FAQ’s

What services can I stream?

The passenger screens offer streaming services YouTube and YouTube kids via a Web browser (enabled on supported models). You can also access your favorite sites via the Web browser if they are compatible and allowed in the region. Some websites require an account to access their content.  Additionally, you can connect a HDMI-compatible device and display content in the screens. For the front passenger screen, you may zoom the content to fit the screen’s aspect ratio.

What do I need to get this feature?

If your vehicle supports In-vehicle streaming, you will need an OnStar equipped activated vehicle and an active OnStar Connected Services plan with OnStar Wi-Fi.

Which models support Video Streaming?

Video streaming is available now on MY 26 Escalade IQ and MY26 Escalade IQL, with other select MY26 and newer models coming soon as listed below: Cadillac Escalade/ESV,  and select MY25 models. The MY26 Escalade IQ and IQL also come with 1-year complimentary OnStar Wi-Fi for the best experience.

Can I watch movies in the front seat while driving?

The main driver’s dashboard screen does not play video while in drive for safety reasons. However, the front passenger screen in newer models (like the 2026 Escalade IQ) can display video, but this is designed to be hidden from the driver's view. In park mode, the driver can also use certain apps from the Google Playstore via Google Built-in Integration also brought to you by OnStar.

How do I start streaming on the passenger screen?

  1. Double-tap the screen to wake it up.
  2. Accept the Terms & Conditions if prompted (generally will not reappear once accepted through center console)
  3. Select web browser icon and stream your favorite content.

How do I use the HDMI port?

Plug your device into the HDMI port and select "HDMI" on the screen menu.

Can I share content between screens?

Yes, rear-seat passengers can swipe content from one screen to the other or use the "Share" button.

How do I control the rear screens from the front?

The driver can manage the rear screens via the "Rear Media" option on the front display, allowing them to pause, play, mute, or lock the screens.

Why is my streaming not working?

Ensure you have an active OnStar Wi-Fi data connection, your apps are updated, and you have accepted the necessary user agreements.

Can I use hotspot to stream?

You will need OnStar Wi-Fi plan§ to stream your favorite videos, movies.

Is it safe?

The front passenger screen is designed so that the driver cannot view it while the vehicle is in motion.

How is the audio played?

Audio from the streaming services can be played through wireless headphones (for rear passengers) or the car's sound system.

Can I watch movies on my 2021-2025 model?

Older models with Rear Seat Entertainment can play videos via HDMI, USB, or mirroring, but may not have the built-in native streaming apps found in 2026+ models. A limited number of 2025 models will be enabled, and further information will be shared once available.
